Can you repair my AC today?
Usually, yes. If your situation cannot wait for a slot at all, the emergency AC repair line runs around the clock.
Do you charge just to look at the AC?
There is a call-out and diagnosis charge of AED 150 to 300 depending on district, and it is credited in full against the repair when you proceed. So in practice, diagnosis is free for everyone who fixes the problem with us. What the charge buys is a real diagnosis with gauges and meters, in writing, that you could hand to any other company and have them quote against. We are comfortable with that test.
Is the repair warranty separate from the parts warranty?
They stack. Parts carry their manufacturer warranty, commonly six to twelve months for motors and electrical components, and our workmanship carries its own 90-day guarantee on top. If a part we fitted fails inside its warranty, the replacement labour is on us, not on you. Both warranties appear on your invoice, not in fine print.
My AC is still under manufacturer warranty. Should I call you or the brand?
Check the brand first: a genuine warranty claim on a compressor or PCB should cost you nothing at an authorised centre, and we will tell you honestly when that is your cheapest route. Where we earn our keep is everything warranties exclude: blocked drains, dirty coils, installation faults, and the six-week wait some service centres quote in July. Many clients use the brand for parts and us for everything with a deadline.
Do you use second-hand or copy parts?
No. Copy capacitors cost AED 15 less and fail inside a summer; salvaged compressors are a gamble we refuse to sell. Every part we fit is new and either OEM or a named-brand equivalent that meets the original specification, and the box goes to you with the invoice. Cheap parts are how repair companies manufacture their own repeat business, and it is not a business model we respect. If a budget matters, we would rather fit fewer, better parts and tell you what can safely wait.
There is ice on the copper pipes. What does that mean?
Ice means the evaporator is running colder than design, and the two usual reasons are weak airflow from a clogged filter or coil, or low refrigerant from a leak. Switch the unit off and let it thaw before the technician arrives, because a frozen coil hides the evidence. Whatever you do, do not keep running it iced: that is how compressors drown in liquid refrigerant. Thawing takes an hour or two with the unit off and the fan on, and the technician will thank you for the head start.
Why does my AC cool fine at night but struggle all afternoon?
Because afternoon is the exam. A system with marginal gas pressure, a coating of dust on the condenser coil or a tired compressor can pass at 30 degrees and fail at 45. Afternoon-only weakness is actually a useful diagnostic clue, and it usually points at the outdoor unit rather than the indoor one. Mention it when you book: it changes what we test first.
One room is hot while the rest of the flat is cold. Is that a repair job?
Sometimes. On split systems it usually means that one unit has its own fault, often low gas or a dirty coil. On ducted systems it points to a damper stuck shut, crushed flexible ducting or a balancing problem rather than a breakdown. Both are fixable; the second is quieter work than most people expect. The diagnosis visit sorts one from the other in half an hour.
How long should a repair actually last?
A properly diagnosed repair with a quality part should see out the unit’s remaining life, not the season. Capacitors we fitted five years ago are still running. The honest exception is repairs on systems past ten years, where fixing one tired component sometimes uncovers the next; we flag that risk before you spend, with the replacement maths alongside, so the decision is made with open eyes.
Do you still repair window AC units?
We do, and in Deira, Bur Dubai and the older buildings they still cool thousands of rooms perfectly well. Common jobs are thermostats, fan motors, gas leaks and general deep cleaning. The honest limit: when a window unit needs a compressor, replacement of the whole unit is nearly always cheaper, and we will say so rather than sell the repair.
